Lawyers for Gilberto Valle, the NYC cop charged with plotting to kidnap, torture, cook and eat at least 100 women, have reportedly asked for the names of his alleged co-conspirators, reports CBS News.
According to the New York Post, court records show prosecutors have records of “hundreds of thousands” of online communications between Valle and over 20 supposed co-conspirators in which they discuss their “violent sexual fantasies.”
Valle’s defense says they need all of the names to prepare their defense, the Post reports. Only Michael Vanhise, “Moody Blues” and “Ali Khan” have so far been identified in the court documents.
Police were tipped off to the “cannibal cop’s” plan when his estranged wife found the conversations, in which he talks about the proper way to dislocate a woman’s jaw before cooking her. You can see snippets of the “cannibal cop’s” plans to abduct, cook and eat women here.
The “cannibal cop” pled not guilty on all charges, including legally accessing the National Criminal Database to search out potential victims. He is currently being held without bail, and, if convicted, faces life in prison.
Valle’s lawyer has said the alleged plot was pure fantasy. No women were actually harmed.
He has pleaded not guilty.
