Chris was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Christopher Mellino, a widely known and respected personal injury attorney in the Cleveland area, has more than 20 years experience representing clients injured by medical negligence, products liability and birth and brain injuries. Mr. Mellino was formerly with the firm Kampinski & Mellino where, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, they set the standard for big medical malpractice payouts in Ohio - obtaining more than $30 million in judgments in 1997 alone.

Since forming The Mellino Law Firm LLC, Mr. Mellino has continued to build on that success. A member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, he has established a formidable network of experts to consult on cases. Christopher Mellino is committed to the highest standard of excellence. His consistent commitment to helping injured people can help you and your family. He has been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America and Best Lawyers in Cleveland. He was recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine and since 1999 has received the prestigious AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating for professional ability and ethical standards a lawyer can achieve.

Christopher Mellino is committed to the idea that a smaller, skillful and well connected law firm will achieve better results in malpractice cases because the attorney is immersed in the case from the moment the client walks into the office and has full working knowledge of all the details of the case.

Chris has been married to his wife Gaynel for 27 years and they have 3 children.

Chris has worked since starting his first job at age 11 delivering newspapers. He worked throughout high school in the school cafeteria and earned his way through college pumping gas at the local Gulf station.

He is involved in numerous charitable and community programs but the two he enjoys most are coaching CYO basketball, which he has done for almost twenty years and he recently founded a social justice scholarship program that engages eighth grade students with local service organizations and projects to increase awareness about justice in our society
