Devesh Tiwary, MD, JD, FACS, is one of a handful of practicing attorneys who is also a fully licensed, board certified physician. He has evaluated over 2000 medical malpractice cases and takes cases only on behalf of patients injured due to medical malpractice (or negligence) in Florida.

Dr. Tiwary graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis, then obtained his MD at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine in 1988 and completed a 5-year surgical residency at Shands Jacksonville. He then worked as an emergency and trauma surgeon at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. He moved to Pinellas County, became Board Certified, and was in private practice for seven years, rising to Chief of Surgery at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Human Anatomy at St. Petersburg College and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Health Sciences. After law school, Dr. Tiwary continues a part time trauma and emergency surgical practice, as well as volunteering at the Pinellas County Health Department. He has active medical licenses in Florida, Massachusetts and New Mexico.
