Tom Mighell, Senior Manager, Fios, Inc., Dallas, TX
Tom Mighell is Senior Manager in the Professional Services Group at Fios, an electronic discovery services provider. Tom works with corporations and their law firms to develop E-Discovery programs that are repeatable, defensible, and cost-effective. Prior to working with Fios he was a litigator for 18 years with Cowles & Thompson in Dallas. Tom also served as Litigation Technology Support Manager for the firm, supporting the other lawyers with their technology needs. Tom is a frequent speaker and writer on legal technology, E-Discovery, and the Internet. He is the publisher of the blog Inter Alia (since 2002) and the Internet Legal Research Weekly (since 2000). Along with Dennis Kennedy, he hosts The Kennedy-Mighell Report, a podcast on legal technology with an Internet focus. He is the author, along with Dennis Kennedy, of The Lawyer’s Guide to Collaboration Tools and Technologies, available from the ABA and Amazon. Tom is currently Vice-Chair of the ABA Law Practice Management Section, having served four years on the ABA TECHSHOW Board and as Chair of ABA TECHSHOW 2008. Tom received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
