What is Aircraft Law?

Aircraft Law is a set of rules and regulations that govern the use of aircraft within the state of Oregon. These laws help to ensure the safety of aircrafts and its passengers and also to protect the environment and the general public. Aircrafts are regulated both by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Oregon Department of Aviation (ODA). The FAA is responsible for establishing rules and regulations that pertain to airspace, aircraft registration and certification, operation of aircraft, and safety. The ODA works in conjunction with the FAA and establishes laws that are specific to the state of Oregon. These laws cover topics such as airport regulations, licensing requirements for pilots and aircraft shops, safety inspections, and airport safety. Aircraft Law applies to all aircrafts operating in Oregon, including those owned by the state and those owned by private individuals. All aircrafts must be registered and all pilots must meet the appropriate licensing requirements before they can operate any aircraft in the state. Additionally, operators of aircrafts must adhere to all rules and regulations established by the FAA and the ODA. Aircrafts used for recreational purposes must also comply with state laws and regulations regarding noise levels and other safety concerns. By following Aircraft Law, operators are able to keep the skies of Oregon safe and enjoyable for all those who use them. It is important to remember that safety is the number one priority when operating any type of aircraft, and that following laws and regulations set forth by the state is essential for this goal.
