What is the process of aircraft certification?
Aircraft certification is the process by which the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ensures that an aircraft meets or exceeds safety and airworthiness standards. Aircraft must be certified in order to be flown or operated in the United States. The process of aircraft certification is complex and includes several different steps.
