In South Carolina, the laws concerning airworthiness inspections are outlined in the state’s Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). All aircraft must undergo airworthiness inspections annually in order to comply with the FARs. The inspections are conducted by a licensed aviation mechanic and are designed to ensure that the aircraft’s systems, including its onboard communication and navigation systems, are safe to operate.
