How are aircraft accidents investigated and compensated?
In South Carolina, aircraft accidents are investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The NTSB is responsible for determining the probable cause of an aviation accident and issuing safety recommendations to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future. Once the investigation is completed, the NTSB will submit a report of its findings to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
