What is the law about driving when fatigued?
In Washington, drivers are legally obligated to avoid driving while fatigued. It is important to recognize when you are too tired to drive and make alternative arrangements to get to your destination. The Washington State Department of Transportation states that drivers must not operate a vehicle if they are too tired or sleepy, or if they have a medical condition that could impair their ability to safely operate a vehicle.
