In Vermont, the process for obtaining a Dispatcher Certificate is a bit complicated. First, applicants must complete a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved dispatcher training program. This program must include at least 300 hours of training and encompass aeronautical decision-making, Regulations, Weather, Aircraft Familiarization, Flight Dispatch Procedures, Navigation, and Communications. After completing the course, applicants must pass a written examination consisting of both practical and theoretical components.
