What restrictions are there on advertising for cannabis products?

In Nebraska, advertising for cannabis products is heavily restricted. The state has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to any advertising for cannabis. It is illegal for businesses to advertise their products in any way, including through radio, television, newspapers, magazines, flyers, billboards, or any other medium. This includes advertising about the sale of cannabis, cannabis-related products, or services related to cannabis. The only exceptions to this rule are: 1) if the advertisement is being presented for non-commercial purposes, such as a public health awareness campaign; and 2) advertisements that are limited to providing an address, telephone number, or website address for obtaining information about cannabis and cannabis-related services. Additionally, any advertisements which imply that consuming cannabis is safe or beneficial to health are strictly prohibited. In general, businesses are prohibited from engaging in any type of cannabis-related marketing or advertising, even if it does not explicitly mention cannabis products or services. This includes any type of implicit marketing, such as using cannabis-related imagery or slogans. Violating these advertising restrictions could result in criminal penalties, including fines and jail time.
