Is cannabis legal to purchase online?

In New Jersey, the purchase and use of cannabis is still illegal, even if it is for medical purposes. As of yet, cannabis is not legal to purchase online in the state. Cannabis remains a Schedule I drug according to federal law, which means that it is still illegal under national law. As such, it is not legally possible to purchase cannabis online within the state of New Jersey. This means that if someone wants to obtain cannabis in New Jersey, they will have to purchase it from a dispensary that is currently licensed to do so. Licensed dispensaries may have online ordering systems in place that allow customers to place orders and have them picked up at the physical locations. However, these orders can only be placed from within the state of New Jersey and the customer must come to the dispensary in order to complete the purchase. Currently, the state of New Jersey is working to make cannabis more accessible to those in need. Legislation has been passed to legalize the sale and use of cannabis, although the regulations have not yet been defined. It is possible that in the future, online purchases of cannabis in New Jersey may be allowed. Until then, however, cannabis remains illegal to purchase online.
