Is it legal to use cannabis in a federal park?

In Utah, it is illegal to possess or consume cannabis in any federal park. Although state law has legalized the use of medical cannabis with a doctor’s recommendation, federal drug laws still prohibit the possession and use of cannabis in any national park. This means that it is illegal to use cannabis or consume products containing cannabis (such as edibles) in any federal park in Utah. This is true even if you are a medical patient and have a medical cannabis card. Moreover, it is still against the law to transport cannabis or any cannabis-containing products into a national park. Doing so can result in fines, jail time, and/or criminal charges. Furthermore, even if the use of medical cannabis is legal in the state, it is still possible to be prosecuted by the federal government for cannabis possession or use in a federal park. Therefore, it is important for visitors to any national park in Utah to be aware of the laws and take appropriate action to avoid any potential legal consequences.
