Are there any age requirements for the sale of medical cannabis?

In Kansas, there are age requirements for the sale of medical cannabis. According to the Kansas Medical Marijuana Program Act (KMMPA), only those 21 years of age and older may purchase medical cannabis. This restriction applies to both medical and recreational use. For those between the ages of 18 and 21, they may obtain a medical cannabis card if a licensed physician makes a diagnosis that the patient has a qualifying medical condition as defined by the KMMPA. The KMMPA prohibits anyone under 21 years of age from possessing, cultivating, or consuming medical cannabis. Overall, those who wish to purchase medical cannabis in Kansas must be at least 21 years of age. For those between 18 and 21 who have a valid medical condition, they may obtain a medical cannabis card from a licensed physician. Lastly, medical cannabis is prohibited for anyone under the age of 21, and they may face criminal prosecution if found in possession of it.
