Are there any restrictions on the types of cannabis products that can be legally cultivated?

Yes, there are restrictions on the types of cannabis products that can be legally cultivated in Delaware. The Delaware Medical Marijuana Act (DMMA) sets the regulations for cannabis within the state. Under the DMMA, all cannabis products cultivated in Delaware must be tested for potency and contaminants prior to being sold to consumers. Additionally, the DMMA prohibits the cultivation of any cannabis products with a THC content higher than 15%. Furthermore, medical cannabis products must have no more than 6.5% THC content and can only contain up to 0.3% THC content for adult-use products. Under the Delaware Medical Marijuana Act, only the cultivation of cannabis flowers, edibles, oils, tinctures, topicals, and concentrates is legal for both medical and adult-use purposes. The cannabis products must adhere to testing standards and labeling requirements set forth by the Delaware Medical Marijuana Program. Furthermore, only medical cannabis products registered with the program are allowed to be cultivated and sold for medical use only. Cannabis cultivators in Delaware are also held to a higher standard as compared to other states. They must have a valid business license to cultivate and distribute cannabis products. Cultivators are also required to obtain a cultivator permit in order to cultivate cannabis and facility inspections must be completed prior to commencement of cultivation. All cannabis products must be tested for potency, contaminants, and pesticides prior to being sold to consumers.
