What are the requirements to obtain a business visa in China?
In order to obtain a business visa in China, there are several requirements that must be met. The first requirement is obtaining a valid passport. It must be valid for at least six months after the planned return date from China and must have at least two blank pages. The second requirement is an application form, which can either be downloaded from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate’s website or filled out onsite. The form must be filled out completely and accurately. The third requirement is an invitation letter from an authorized entity in China. The inviting entity must include the applicant’s name, passport number, type of visa, arrival and departure date, and the purpose of the visit. The fourth requirement is a visa photograph, which must meet the specific requirements set by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate. The fifth requirement is proof of residence, such as a residence permit, utility bill or lease agreement. The sixth and final requirement is a valid proof of health insurance. This health insurance should be valid for the entire length of the applicant’s stay in China and should include emergency medical evacuation and repatriation. Once all of the requirements have been met, the applicant can then submit the documents to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate for processing. It usually takes 3-5 business days to process the visa application.
