How do I receive child support payments?

In Nebraska, receiving child support payments can be done through the Nebraska Child Support Payment Center (NCSPC). To receive your child support payments, you must first be assigned a Child Support case number. This can be obtained by contacting the office of your county child support clerk or the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Once you have a case number, you will need to register with NCSPC by either completing a paper form or online application. During the registration process, you will need to provide the amount of child support owed, the name and information for the person who pays child support (the obligor), and your current address. You may also be asked to provide additional documents such as tax returns, bank statements, and identification documents. Once your registration is complete, the NCSPC will issue a debit card in your name that can be used to automatically receive child support payments. You will receive notification when child support payments are coming in and you can direct those payments to your bank account or keep them on the debit card for safe and convenient access. In some cases, you may also be able to receive payments through direct deposit or a paper check, but you will need to let the NCSPC know what method you prefer.
