What is a pendente lite order?

A pendente lite order is a legal order issued by a court requiring parties involved in a divorce to adhere to specific guidelines until the divorce is finalized. This type of court order is typically issued in North Dakota when one of the parties files for divorce and the case is yet to be decided.
