In Oklahoma, there are several documents necessary to file a foreclosure. The first document is a Complaint, which details the borrower’s debt and default, the lender’s rights to collect the debt, and the lender’s request for foreclosure. This document must be served to the borrower before the foreclosure can move forward. The second document is an Affidavit of Authority, which states the authority of the party filing the foreclosure. This document must also be served to the borrower. The third document is a Lis Pendens, also known as a Notice of Pendency.
