What is a deposition transcript?
A deposition transcript is a written record of what was said in a deposition, which is a court proceeding where witnesses can be questioned about facts related to a legal case. In Utah, depositions are conducted either before a trial or during trial. During a deposition, witnesses are questioned under oath, and a court reporter is present to create a record of the proceedings. This record is called the deposition transcript.
