What is the right to health?
The right to health refers to the right to have access to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health. In Utah, the right to health is upheld by the State Constitution. Lastly, Human Rights Law further protects the right to health by stating that people have the right to receive health services without fear of reprisal. This means that no one can be punished for seeking medical care or using health services. In short, the right to health ensures that everyone has access to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.
