What is an E visa?

An E visa is a special type of visa that is available to people who wish to come to the United States for the purpose of engaging in international trade and investment activities. This type of visa is available to people from certain countries that have entered into a treaty of commerce with the United States. E visas are divided into two subcategories: E-1 for treaty traders and E-2 for treaty investors. In Virginia, individuals who wish to obtain an E visa must meet certain requirements. For instance, they must demonstrate that they have a substantial amount of money invested in the business they wish to engage in, and they have to show that the business will generate a sufficient level of income. Furthermore, the individual must demonstrate that they intend to enter the United States to conduct trade or investment activities. Once an E visa is approved, the individual may stay in the United States for up to two years and may then renew the visa indefinitely as long as their business activity continues to qualify for E visa status. An E visa also allows immediate family members to accompany the individual and to work in the United States. Overall, an E visa is an excellent way for individuals to come to the United States and engage in international trade or investment activities. It provides the visa holder with the opportunity to stay in the United States for extended periods of time and to bring their family and employees along with them.
