How can I apply for DACA?

Applying for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in New Hampshire is a multi-step process. First, those who wish to apply must demonstrate that they meet the DACA eligibility requirements, which includes having arrived in the United States before reaching the age of 16, having continuously resided in the United States for at least five years prior to June 15, 2012, and currently being enrolled in school, having graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, having obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or being an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States. Those who meet these criteria must then complete the DACA application form (Form I-821D). This form requires applicants to provide personal information, as well as evidence of their eligibility. This evidence will include school transcripts, medical records, employment records, tax records, and other documents that prove they have resided in the United States for the past five years. Finally, applicants must submit their DACA applications, as well as the applicable filing fees, to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). USCIS will review the application and will determine whether or not the applicant is eligible for DACA. If approved, the applicant will be granted deferred action for a two-year period. Renewal of DACA is also an option, provided that the applicant continues to meet the eligibility requirements.
