How do I apply for a student visa?
In order to apply for a student visa in California, you must first make sure that you meet all the eligibility requirements set by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). To be eligible for a student visa, you must be a foreign national who is coming to the United States to pursue a full course of study at an approved school, college, conservatory, academic high school, elementary school, or other academic institution. Once your application is complete and accepted by USCIS, you will need to attend an interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country. At the interview, a consular officer will ask you questions about your educational program and how you plan to support yourself during your studies. Once approved, the embassy or consulate will issue you a student visa.
