What is labor certification?

Labor certification is an important part of immigration law in Kansas. It is used by the United States Department of Labor (DOL) to verify that an employer has been unable to find a qualified U.S. worker to fill an open job. It is used to certify a foreign worker to come to the United States in order to work in a specific job. In order to receive labor certification in Kansas, an employer must submit an application to the DOL with the job description, wage offered, and a statement showing that U.S. workers are not available to fill the position. The DOL then reviews the application and decides whether or not to certify the foreign worker. If the foreign worker is certified, it allows them to apply for a visa to come to the United States to work. It also provides the employer with access to a larger pool of potential workers that may not otherwise be available. Labor certification is a critical part of immigration law in Kansas and helps employers find qualified workers for open positions. It is important for employers to understand the process and ensure that their application is complete and accurate in order to ensure that they have the best chance of being approved for labor certification.
