What are the requirements for a valid will?
In West Virginia, a valid will is one that is written and signed by an individual who is 18 or older, of sound mind, and not under duress or undue influence. The will must also be witnessed by two witnesses who are also not related to the person signing the will. Witnesses must be at least 18 years old and of sound mind and must sign the will in the presence of the testator (signer) and each other.
