What are the legal requirements for making a valid will?
In Washington, in order to make a valid will, there are several legal requirements that must be met. Firstly, the person making the will (the “testator”) must be at least eighteen years of age and of sound mind. Additionally, the will must be in writing, dated and signed by the testator. It is also important that two witnesses (who are not also listed as beneficiaries in the will) sign the will as well.
