What is the International Law of Sanctions?

International law of sanctions is a type of legal action taken to coerce a country, organization, or individual to obey the rules of international law. Sanctions are typically imposed by a nation or organization when a party violates a previously agreed upon treaty or international law, or when a party refuses to stop violating international law.
