The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) is an agreement adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1979. The purpose of CEDAW is to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women in all aspects of their lives, including civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights.
