What is the International Trade Law Commission (ITLC)?

The International Trade Law Commission (ITLC) is a government-appointed organization which helps to coordinate international trade in the State of Massachusetts. Its goal is to promote the growth of international trade among the states of the United States and between the United States and other countries. The commission is tasked with making sure that all international trade laws in the state are enforced properly and fairly, both domestically and internationally. It strives to ensure that international trade is conducted in an open and transparent manner, with the protection of international laws and regulations. The commission is composed of members who are appointed by the Governor and serve as representatives of the Massachusetts business community. The task of the commission is to create and enforce international trade laws that protect the rights and interests of Massachusetts businesses involved in international trade activities. The ITLC works with federal, state, and local governments as well as other private and public organizations in such areas as international trade agreements, trade disputes, customs and international finance/banking. In addition to its main goal of promoting the growth of international trade, the ITLC also engages in research and education on international trade. It also works with other international organizations to promote the development of global trade. The ITLC is ultimately responsible for ensuring that international trade in the State of Massachusetts is conducted in compliance with the laws and regulations of the United States and other countries in the world.
