What is the relationship between jurisprudence law and the Constitution?

Jurisprudence law is the branch of law, or branch of legal studies, that focuses on the principles of law, as well as the application of laws. In Texas, jurisprudence law is closely tied to the Constitution of the United States. The U.S. Constitution, and the constitutions of each individual state, are the foundations for the laws of the nation. All state and federal laws must comply with the limitations found within the Constitution. Jurisprudence law focuses on the interpretation of the Constitution as it relates to laws. The Constitution serves as the highest authority in the nation with regard to the law. Therefore, jurisprudence law frequently relies on the Constitution to set the parameters on the limitations for laws within the state. The main intention of studying jurisprudence law is to gain insight into how to properly interpret the Constitution to ensure that laws are in compliance. To give an example, in Texas, the Supreme Court is the highest court and interprets the Constitution in matters of law. When the Supreme Court renders a decision, it is binding throughout the state. Jurisprudence law looks at the Court’s decision and assesses the legal precedent it may set and if it is in compliance with the Constitution. It is the ultimate goal of jurisprudence law to protect the rights of citizens as defined by the Constitution.
