Are there any restrictions on the wages a joint venture can pay its employees?

In Oklahoma, a joint venture is an agreement between two or more parties on how to conduct a business operation. There are restrictions on the wages a joint venture can pay its employees. Oklahoma also has a variety of laws related to child labor. These laws prohibit the hiring of children under the age of sixteen, setting specific age restrictions for employees under eighteen, and setting the maximum hours of work for minors. Employers must also provide special provisions for young employees such as rest and meal breaks. The Oklahoma Minimum Wage Act requires all employers to post a notice of the current minimum wage and overtime pay rate in an easily visible place. Additionally, employers must provide all employees with a statement of earnings which must include the pay rate, hours worked, and total wages earned. A joint venture must follow each of these laws and any other state and federal requirements in order to ensure they are not in violation of the law.
