What laws protect employees from discrimination?
In North Dakota, the Law Against Discrimination (LAD) prohibits discrimination in employment based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, marital status, age, and disability. This law protects employees from being discriminated against in decisions related to hiring, firing, and any other forms of employment. It also ensures that employers treat all employees equally regardless of their differences. The North Dakota Human Rights Act (NDHRA) provides additional protection against employment discrimination.
