What are the consequences if I fail to meet with my parole officer?

If you fail to meet with your parole officer in the state of Nevada, there will be serious consequences. In almost all cases, these consequences take the form of being issued a violation of parole or probation. When a violation is issued, the parole or probation officer may choose to do any of the following: • Issue a warning • Extend the terms of parole or probation • Require additional supervision • Increase reporting requirements • Require additional community service • Impose fines • Revoke parole or probation and order the violator to serve the remainder of their sentence in prison or jail In addition to the punishments listed above, the court may also add additional sanctions such as a new probation or jail sentence. The judge will consider the circumstances of the violation as well as the violator’s prior criminal record and any other factors that may be relevant. Not meeting with a parole officer is a serious offense, and it’s important to take the time to adhere to the requirements established by the parole or probation officer. Failure to do so can have serious consequences.
