In Nevada, organizations must comply with PIPEDA or face serious penalties. The Commission for the Protection of the Privacy Rights in Canada has the authority to investigate complaints and can impose fines or issue orders if necessary. Individuals have the right to go to court or file a complaint with the Commission if they believe their personal information has been mishandled.
