In Texas, the filing deadlines for a real estate dispute vary depending on the nature of the dispute. Generally, if a real estate dispute is based on a contract, the parties have up to four years from the date of breach of the contract to file a claim. If a dispute stems from an eviction, the lessee must file a claim within four years of the eviction notice.
