How often will Social Security review my claim if I am approved for Social Security Disability?

If you are approved for Social Security Disability in New Hampshire, your claim will be reviewed at regular intervals to make sure that your medical condition is continuing to qualify you for benefits. The review process is known as a continuing disability review (CDR). The social security administration (SSA) will usually review your claim every 3 to 7 years, depending on the severity of your medical condition. It is important to remember that even if you are approved for Social Security Disability, you must continue to provide evidence that your medical condition is still severe enough to prevent you from working. You may be required to submit medical records, statements from your doctor, and other evidence to demonstrate that your disability is still preventing you from working. If you need to update the SSA on the status of your condition, you may need to complete a Medical Questionnaire or Disability Update Report. If the SSA decides that your medical condition has improved and you now are able to work, your disability benefits may be suspended or terminated. That is why it is important to keep the SSA informed about any changes in your medical condition. If you fail to report changes, the SSA may think you are not eligible for Social Security Disability any longer.
