Who can be held accountable for a vehicle rollover?
In Delaware, any person who is believed to be at fault or partially at fault for a vehicle rollover can be held accountable. This includes drivers, vehicle owners, and/or vehicle manufacturers. The driver of a vehicle that is involved in a rollover accident can be held liable if they are found to be the cause of the accident. This could include driving under the influence, driving recklessly, or failing to maintain the vehicle in a safe condition. Vehicle owners can also be held liable for rollovers depending on the circumstances. For example, if the vehicle was not properly maintained or if the owner failed to be aware of any potential rollover risks, they may be held accountable. Finally, vehicle manufacturers can be held responsible if it is found that the design of the vehicle caused or contributed to the rollover. This could include stability control systems that malfunctioned, tires that failed prematurely, or roof structures that were not up to the standards set by the government. In any of the above cases, the victims of a vehicle rollover may be entitled to compensation for their losses including medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and/or property damage. In Delaware, victims of a vehicle rollover can seek help from a personal injury attorney to make sure that they receive the compensation they deserve.
