What are the laws about tinted headlights?
In New Hampshire, the law about tinted headlights is strictly regulated. All vehicles must have headlights that emit a white or amber light of sufficient intensity to reveal people and objects on or near the highway. Tinted headlights are not allowed and the light emitted from them must be plain white or amber and not contain any variations that make them appear to be tinted. Any vehicle that has been modified to have tinted headlights will be deemed in violation and the owner may be subject to a fine. If a vehicle has been modified to have tinted headlights and the tint is not in accordance with New Hampshire law, then the owner may be ordered to remove the tint or replace the headlights with ones that are legal. When it comes to the safety of drivers on the road, New Hampshire does not take chances. Aside from making sure that headlights emit white or amber lights that are sufficient intensity to reveal objects on the highway, they also make sure that the light is not altered in any way that could potentially harm other drivers or pedestrians. So in conclusion, the law in New Hampshire states that tinted headlights are not allowed and any vehicle modified to have them may be subject to a fine.
