Yes, there are restrictions on cannabis packaging and labelling in Washington. All cannabis packaging must be opaque and child-resistant. Additionally, all packaging must include a warning label that states: "This product contains marijuana, a Schedule I controlled substance. Keep out of reach of children and animals. There may be health risks associated with the consumption of this product." All packages must also include a label the specifies the amount and type of cannabinoids, including THC and CBD, the packaging and labeling of the product and health and safety information. Finally, all packages must either include a clear list of ingredients, a list of potential allergens, and/or a list of potential contaminants. Furthermore, no cannabis products can be packaged in any way that makes them appear to be something else, such as candy or snacks. Lastly, all cannabis products must be labeled with the date of manufacture and must include an expiration date.
