Are there limits on the amount of cannabis that can be purchased at one time?

Yes, there are limits on the amount of cannabis that can be purchased at one time in Tennessee. In accordance with The Medical Cannabis Act, a qualifying patient or their primary caregiver may only purchase a 30-day supply of medical cannabis at one time. A 30-day supply is defined as up to a maximum of one ounce of dried cannabis flower or its equivalent. If the patient’s medical practitioner has prescribed a higher dose for the patient, then the patient may purchase the greater amount in no more than a 30-day supply at one time. For example, a patient prescribed 2 ounces of dried cannabis flower would be able to purchase that amount in four separate 30-day supplies. For recreational cannabis, it is currently illegal to purchase, possess, or use cannabis in Tennessee. However, if recreational cannabis were to become legal in the state, the amount that could be purchased at one time and any additional regulations would be set out by the state government.
