How can I obtain a business license in China?

In order to obtain a business license in China, you must first prepare the application materials needed to apply for the license. The required materials include a business plan, a business registration form, a notarized copy of your business owner’s passport or ID card and a copy of the business’s logo. Additionally, you must provide the Chinese government with proof of your financial assets and bank accounts. After you have prepared the aforementioned documents, submit them to the Chinese government and pay the registration fee. Once your documents and fees have been approved, the government will issue you a business license. Depending on the type of business venture you will be establishing, the license may need to be approved by the industry regulatory body. For example, if you plan to establish a restaurant business, then the license must be approved by the local food safety regulatory bureau. Additionally, the business license must also be registered with the local tax office in order for the business to be fully operational. Once you have obtained a business license in China, you must adhere to all regulations and laws set by the Chinese government governing the operation of your business. Failure to do so could result in heavy fines or even the revocation of your business license. In addition, foreign companies that wish to establish a business in China must comply with South Dakota’s China Business Ventures Law. This law requires foreign companies to register their permanent establishment and appoint a local representative.
