In Kansas, the law concerning the protection of trade secrets and confidential information is regulated primarily by the Kansas Uniform Trade Secrets Act. This act provides protections for confidential business information that might include customer lists, formulas, pricing strategies, and other proprietary information. To qualify as a trade secret, the information must be not generally known or ascertainable by other persons, and it must have been the subject of efforts to maintain its secrecy.
