How do I register for a civil union?
In Oklahoma, there is no legal path for couples to register for a Civil Union. Civil Unions are currently not legally recognized in the state, so the only way for couples to form a Union is by entering into a common law marriage. Common law marriages are considered just as valid as regular marriages, but must meet certain criteria to be valid. For a common law marriage to be recognized by Oklahoma law, the couple must: 1.
