What is an accommodation request?

An accommodation request is a request for an adjustment or modification of a job or environment to allow an individual with a disability to be able to participate or work in the same manner as a person without a disability. In the state of Minnesota, disability law requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities who are under their employ. An accommodation request is a type of request made by an individual with a disability in order to be able to fully participate or work in a job or environment.
