What are the eligibility requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act?

In Maryland, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a federal law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in the workplace and in accessing public services. The ADA provides protection to people with disabilities by ensuring they are not treated unfairly or differently when it comes to access to employment, transportation, public accommodations, communication, and activities like education and healthcare. In order to be eligible for the ADA, a person must meet certain criteria.
