If you are filing for a divorce in the state of Virginia, you will need to fill out several forms. The first and most important form is the Complaint for Divorce, also referred to as the Divorce Petition. This document must be filled out completely and accurately and is the main form you will use to initiate the divorce process. The next form you will need is a Financial Statement. This form will require you to list all of your assets and debts, an estimate of the total value of each, and a description of who owns each asset or debt.
