LCADV partners with local domestic violence programs to offer services in French and Spanish, as well as independent living skills classes, parenting classes, and employment assistance. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) also offers mental health counseling to victims of domestic abuse and their families. DCFS coordinates with local mental health providers to offer individual counseling and other supportive services for individuals and families. DCFS provides referrals for crisis intervention and other mental health services, such as psychotherapy, crisis management, anger management, trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and family therapy.
