What is a Vocational Rehabilitation Plan?

A Vocational Rehabilitation Plan (VRP) is a plan created by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Vocational Rehabilitation that helps people with disabilities gain employment. It includes an assessment of individual skills, abilities, weaknesses, and strengths; as well as an individualized plan to help the person find and maintain a job that fits their needs. The VRP also provides assistance with such services as job readiness training, career counseling, job placement, and ongoing job support services.
