Are employers obligated to pay employees for overtime and night work?
In Washington, employers are generally obligated to pay their employees for their overtime and night work, although there are a few exceptions. According to Washington’s Employment Contracts Law, employers must pay non-exempt employees overtime pay for every hour that they work over 40 hours in a work week.
